This blog is a place where I can share my love for photography, nature and color. All the things that make me happy. Unfortunately not that long ago my dad past away and I have a hard time getting through each day with happiness. I’m trying to find a way to feel better for some time now. I know that art can bring solace. I have already looked for happiness in photography and it definitely makes me feel better and helps me go through life day at a time. Recently I got inspired by Wendy from A Girl and her Brush and decided to start Art Journal Challenge – I’m going to draw, paint, sketch, create and share it with you, here on my blog.
Inspired, I went to art store got myself sketch journal, sketch pads some other art supplies and I started creating. My challenge is to draw/sketch/paint/create at least once a week and on every Monday I will be posting my art.
Art Journal: Week 1 – Sheepy
My first sketch is a portrait of my partner in crime Sheepy, which you haven’t had chance to meet yet, but you definitely will since she is traveling with me everywhere and loves being in pictures (well I love her in my pics and she has tons of them already). Here it is:
What do you think? It’s not bad for my first sketch. Since I have been sick for last week I’m behind now with sharing my projects. I have 2 more waiting to be published on my blog.
In 2007 was the first time I visited States. I came here for a student exchange program. I spend 3 months working at a resort in beautiful Minnesota, known as the “Land of 10000 Lakes“. The resort I lived at is located between two beautiful lakes in the middle of the forest, far from big cities and crowds. Surrounded by wild nature, warm weather and great people made my summer unforgettable.
During those 3 months spent in the wilderness I planed trip of my life (at least at that moment in my life it was journey of my life).
Last week I was quite sick and I sadly neglected my blog and now I feel like I’m not doing my best to keep it going, which makes me little bit unhappy with myself. But the other hand having so much time to think I came up with some new ideas and it is time to make them life on my blog.
Here are some of them:
Travel Corner called Escape to… – where I’m going to tell you a little bit about my travel and share my photos,
Quote Corner – I don’t have a name for this one yet,
My Art Journal Challenge called Art Journal – where I will share my newest art project.
In addition to that one of the best things that happened over the past week was buying tickets to Poland. My husband and I planned for last 6 months our 6 month long trip to my country. After all this time using travel hacking tricks it is happening 🙂 November 26th we are going to start our European Adventure.
This picture was taken while my visit in Wild Animal Park last year. I love birds, I love watching and capturing them on my camera. My degree in Ornithology says it all. Rainbow Lorikeet is the perfect name for this bird, if you look closely you will notice that it truly exhibits most of the colors of the rainbow in their plumage – the head is blue, the belly is yellow and orange, the eyes and the beak are red, and the wings and the tail are green. Enjoy!
While my college years I used to lived in Poland in place called 3city. I will tell you more about this beautiful place in another post. I want to share this picture of a seagull wondering on the shore of Baltic Bay. I hope you like it.
Happy Easter Everyone!!! I recently discovered Torie Jayne’s Blog and I was instantly charmed by all the pretty treasures that were showcased. I fell in love when I saw these picture of a hand-made Chocolate Nest made by her little niece Molly. If you want to learn how to make this beautiful and yummy treat you can do so by visiting her blog. I couldn’t resist sharing this with you on a day like today. This color palette makes me feel so jubilant and soothing at the same time.
How does it make you feel?
I also want to thank Torie for letting me use her picture.
It is time to meet Luke. Since January I’m fostering the cutest kitty ever (at least in my mind the cutest.) His name is Luke, he brings so much happiness into our home. Every second he is doing something adorable and funny. He is good sport and great model. But first tell me do you agree with this (quote by Mary Bly):
The cat is above all things, a dramatist. ~Margaret Benson

Here’s a list of the top ten things you should do if you visit Zambia, a country in Southern Africa. Zambia lies southwest of Tanzania, which is featured in my book Kilimanjaro: One Man’s Quest to Go Over the Hill. The two countries are similar in many ways, with plenty of opportunities to see amazing natural beauty, go on thrilling wildlife safaris, and experience Africa’s unique culture.
This list is based on my own experiences when I lived in Lusaka, Zambia’s capital and largest city. These activities and destinations will give you a taste of what this interesting country has…
